MMA – Ministry Methodological Assistant | Petr Havlíček
AI assistant for project managers in the field of European funds.
This individual project focuses on designing an AI tool for developing reading literacy among secondary school students. The project is based on current problems in Czech education—a decline in reading literacy according to PIRLS surveys, passive information intake by students, and problems with evaluating sources and critical thinking in the digital age.
The result is the concept of the "Read.y" tool—an interactive educational platform combining online and offline modes. The tool includes an AI chatbot as a tutor, individual text analysis, an OCR scanner for processing school materials, structured feedback with gamification elements, resource evaluation training, and a reading diary. The project emphasizes personalization based on individual reading profiles and a safe environment for working with mistakes.
The final presentation is based on the story of a fictional student, Ema, who demonstrates the use of the Read.y tool in her school practice.
Ethics: A comprehensive analysis using Ethical Canvas identified key risks: stigmatization and conflicts between proponents and opponents of technology, data misuse and management, widening of the digital divide, technological determinism, and copyright. Proposed measures include transparent data management, tool accessibility regardless of socioeconomic status, and preservation of the human element in education.
