Organizing and processing notes using AI | Kamil Kaderka

The project focuses on the use of artificial intelligence for organizing and processing university students' study notes. The goal is to find out how AI can help better structure learning materials, create meaningful summaries, and facilitate access to key information when preparing for exams.

The project gradually evolved from the original intention to create a comprehensive AI tool to a practical solution based on prompt engineering and the smart combination of existing services. The student realized that AI tools were evolving faster than his prototype, so he focused on creating perfectly tuned prompts for generating structured notes, flashcards, and audio scripts for listening.

The result is a study assistant implemented as Custom GPT, which can create detailed study notes divided into chapters from any material, generate questions with answers for active repetition, and create atomic cards in CSV format for import into the Quizlet application. It also includes a wireframe design for an educational web application with a clean, modern interface.

Ethics: The project comprehensively addressed ethical aspects using Tarot Cards of Tech. It identified three key risks: information overload (The Siren), AI hallucinations and misinterpretation of materials (The Backstabber), and a shift in study habits toward passive learning (The Catalyst). The proposed solutions include filtering outputs as needed, comparing them with original texts, implementing citations, and highlighting the need for critical thinking.

AI TOOLS USED IN THE PROJECT

  1. ChatGPT 4o Plus – main tool for brainstorming, iterative prompt development, creation of Custom GPT study assistant, wireframe design
  2. Gemini Advanced – comparing outputs, testing alternative approaches, generating flashcards and interactive quizzes
  3. NotebookLM Plus – working with uploaded documents, speech-to-text conversion, reliable citations in outputs
  4. Flourish – visualizing data from questionnaire surveys, creating graphs and infographics
  5. Quizlet – testing generated study cards in CSV format
  6. Manus AI – automatic creation of professional presentations from a single prompt
  7. ElevenLabs Reader – conversion of AI-generated scripts to audio for listening while traveling
  8. Claude (free version) – testing alternatives, editing texts (limited use)
