Transition Design · Book

Transition design is a complex approach taught in only a few dozen universities in the world so far. Masaryk University is one of these few pioneers thanks to its collaboration with the University of Oslo.

Both universities have already held several theoretical and practical courses on Transition design and (not only) these courses are basis for a new publication called Designers as Visionaries: Perspectives of Transition Design in Education. This book, now being in the final graphic editing phase, can be browsed below or at this link (some chapters are in Czech only).

Authors of the book are members of the project team: Klára Peloušková, Ladislava Zbiejczuk Suchá, Roman Novotný, Alma Culén and Nick Stevens. Graduates the courses have also contributed to this book. The monograph thus offers not only pedagogical experience and methodology, but also the perspective of the target group – students.
